The ASR Project is building a civic platform for American Science Renewal. We are inviting people and institutions who want science to serve the public good with integrity, usefulness, and trust.
There are several ways to engage: join the Commons, explore partnership, offer expertise, request a briefing, or simply begin a conversation.
ASR is founder-led at launch and growing carefully. The goal is not to build a large list quickly. The goal is to bring the right people into serious work.
American Science Renewal begins with people willing to build the conditions that science needs to serve the country well.
Science Renewal Commons is ASR’s shared workspace for American Science Renewal.
Join the Commons if you want to contribute resources, share knowledge, participate in working notes, help shape renewal priorities, or take part in future working groups.
The Commons is for people who want to help turn evidence, experience, and institutional knowledge into useful public work.
ASR is seeking institutional partners who can help preserve scientific talent, support shared resources, host conversations, contribute expertise, or strengthen the infrastructure of renewal.
Universities, research centers, professional societies, foundations, civic organizations, policy groups, and public institutions may all have a role to play.
Partnership does not need to begin with a formal commitment. It can begin with a conversation.
ASR needs people who understand how scientific systems work.
That may include experience with federal agencies, public health, grantmaking, peer review, regulation, research administration, science communication, congressional process, nonprofit governance, law, philanthropy, data systems, or institutional leadership.
If you have knowledge that could help the work of renewal, ASR would welcome hearing from you.
ASR can provide introductory briefings for people and institutions interested in scientific continuity, comity, public trust, talent preservation, and the development of Science Renewal Commons.
Briefings may be useful for funders, institutional leaders, civic organizations, policymakers, journalists, and scientific professionals who want to understand the project and explore possible collaboration.
